“These have the power to shut the heaven, that it rain not during the days of their prophecy: and they have power over the waters (explained here) to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they shall desire.”

You have just opened a door that no man can close!

“See, I have placed before you an OPEN DOOR that no one can shut.” Rev 3:8.

I looked, and, behold, A DOOR was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said,
Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. (Revelation 4)

Also Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at THE DOOR, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

The door opens to an unveiling of both good and evil…

“And he said, What is the thing that the LORD hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me.” (1 Samuel 3)

The vile depravity exposed by the Epstein files has now been revealed. The evil exposed, such as child sacrifice, cannibalism and worse, should be enough to convince any thinking person that the devil and his demons really do exist.

WHAT NEXT?

And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. (1 Sam 3:11)

The timing of that last verse has relevance in this era as well. That message came during a time of spiritual darkness in Israel, just as spiritual darkness covers this world now. But the “lamp of God” (a phrase referring to the dawn or the presence of God) will shine more and more as you study these prophecies…

Proverbs 4:18 “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shinith more and more unto the perfect day.”

By the way, in reference to the Second Coming, I’m tired of hearing that Jesus said “No one knows the day or hour” (quoting Matthew 24:36).

That doesn’t add up.

There are at least six points to answer it.

  • Jesus had just said in Matt 24:33 that when you see all these things you know the time is near, at the doors.
  • That statement that nobody knows the day or hour does not include months or years.
  • It does not say what is being referenced! Read it in context… Does it point to the tribulation, Jesus’ return, or the heavens passing away?
  • Jesus made that statement to those living back then, while he was a human, on earth. By now I strongly suspect he does know the day and hour.
  • The Bible also says God does not do anything without first informing his prophets. Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.” If God consistently warned Noah, Abraham, Lot, and every major figure before judgment, the pattern of Scripture actually supports the idea that someone would be informed before the Second Coming — otherwise God breaks His own stated pattern.
  • Daniel was told to “seal the book until the end” (Daniel 12:4) implying it would eventually be unsealed and understood.

The restriction in Matthew 24:36 applies to pinpoint precision — not to year-level discernment. And Amos 3:7 suggests God’s pattern is toward revelation, not away from it.

On this page I’ll cover Jesus’ prophecy about the generation before he returns.

The Future – What Needs to Happen Before Christ Returns?

DISCLAIMER

Views expressed throughout are speculative possibilities. In no way should they be taken as doctrinal claims! Read with discernment.

When Christ returns it will be more glorious than the morning sun shown here, exploding across my yard!

I guarantee it will be soon.

But HOW SOON?

I’m bearing in mind Ecclesiastes 8:7 which reads, in the New American Standard version, “If no one knows what will happen, who can tell him when it will happen?”

That puts all speculation into context.

Jesus’ nice timing …

The people of Israel are called figs in the Bible, Eg. Jeremiah 24:5 –or read the whole chapter. Also Hosea 9:10 mentions both grapes and figs.

Now read Matthew 24:32

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree;  When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that  it is near,  even at the doors.  Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS, TILL ALL THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED.”

Mark and Luke say similar. Reading down the chapter in Luke 21:26-27, you can see that this prophecy includes Jesus return. So it was NOT fulfilled in 70 AD.

It’s for now.

This is an end time prophecy with a specific time limit attached to it, and it includes Israel being re-established as a nation in recent times, and specifically, Jerusalem being regained from the Gentiles.

Could this be saying that, from the date that the nation of Israel has regained control of Jerusalem (which happened in 1967), that Jesus will return within one generation from that year?

Matthew 24 and Luke 21 both summarize the main events that will happen up until the time Jesus returns.

In Luke 21:32 Jesus /Yeshua says that one full generation will not pass away from the specific time or date that Jerusalem ceases to be trodden down by the gentiles (i.e. the nations) (referring back to Luke 21:24) UNTIL THE END OF THE AGE! See also Matt 24:34 and Matt 24:3.

So… Can we know what is the length of this “generation” that Jesus spoke about? And can we know exactly what he meant by the fig tree “putting forth leaves”?

Maybe…

Definitions of generation lengths do vary in the Bible.

However Psalms 90:10 strongly indicates a generation count is 70 years.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (KJV)

Counting forward 70 years

The Jews regained Jerusalem in a six day war in 1967. It definitely fulfilled Jesus prophecy of “when the fig tree putteth forth leaves.”

So let’s count forward one generation. That takes us as far into the future as 2037. But it could be much sooner. Most Bible prophecy students start this prophecy count from 1948

That was the year modern Israel was established. From the 15th May 1948 and the Israeli Declaration of Independence to 5th June 1967, and the start of the six day war when Israel captured East Jerusalem, was one Metonic moon cycle of 19 years! I don’t know how precise it needs to be in order to be significant, but the precision is within one month (moon phase) of exactly 19 years. Add another three 19 year cycles, and we get to mid-2024. Which is 3 1/2 years before 2027 ends.

Then comes 2028.

Kent Hovind speculated Jesus could come as early as 2028 in this video:j

https://youtube.com/watch?v=P8ib2RKCjEM%3Ffeature%3Doembed

Then, there’s the website which is all about 2028 being the year: https://2028end.com/

BUT, I actually think the Second Coming is near but could be several years beyond that…

There are TWO Overlooked Prophecies That Change Everything…

They are discussed exhaustively in a later article, with AI analysis. But AI can be wrong. The weight of evidence indicates Jesus’ Second Coming will be within ten years.

IN SUMMARY

I am not setting dates.

However, do not ignore the increasing seriousness of world events.

Accurately discerning the timing for Jesus return should motivate you to make life altering decisions, not only physically but spiritually as well.

JESUS RETURN IS IMMINENT

How significant the above calculations are, only time will tell. Jesus said in Matt 24:39 that his second coming would be like the timing of the flood in the days of Noah, and like the prophecy against Nineveh, an ‘utter end’ will come like an ‘overrunning flood’ Nahum 1:8.

According to my present understanding, between now and the second coming, ten kings need to be established to rule over the whole earth, as per Revelation 17:12 (ten kings, who have received no kingdom yet). This cross-references to the ten toes of iron and clay at the bottom of the great image in Daniel 2:34-35 just before Christ’s return.

Two witnesses confront the dragon

Then there’s the two witnesses in Revelation chapter 11. Could you be one of them? How is that even remotely possible? Go here to find out.

A Fake Return

It’s quite likely there will also be a fake 2nd coming; when the devil himself impersonates Jesus. (2 Cor 11:14, Rev 19:20 etc.) But if you remember these two things, it will be easy to tell the real Jesus from the fake:

(1) On pain of death, the fake Jesus will most likely enforce SUNDAY keeping (click here) (Rev 13:15-17).

(2) When Jesus comes as a conquering king he will end all deception about himself. Therefore, in time order… the deceptive fake Jesus must come first. The real Jesus will not teach anything contrary to truth, which, by the grace of God, I’ve written here… If it contradicts the Bible, it’s not truth. John 17:17.

If Jesus were to return in, say, 2028, it would be nice timing for a fake Jesus to arrive in 2027, because there are already a number of people who think Jesus will return in 2027!

But, when the true Messiah does return, ALL the wicked will be destroyed. See 2 Thes 2:8, Pslm 68:2, Rev 19:15, and Jer 25:31 & 33. So, if someone claims to be the returned Jesus, and this doesn’t happen around the same time, then his impersonation is a lie!

The following is in reference to the last world ruling kingdom mentioned in Daniel Chapter 2, plus Job 8:13-15.

As per my short poem, given time, iron (the base metal of Daniel 2:33) can rust. However, when Jesus returns, the wind will sweep the iron and the great image (symbolising the ungodly kingdoms) away, according to Daniel 2:35.

Jesus, of course, is ‘the rock’ (1 Cor 10:4) that strikes this statue on its feet, so when this happens there will be no time for rust… Events now, leading to the sudden fulfilment of this prophecy, are coalescing.

When Christ returns, Psalm 126:5, poetically translated, says:

Those who sow in tears,
shall reap with cheers!

In another place, in Psalm 30:5, it says:

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in another place, Romans 13:12 –

The night is far spent, the day is at hand.

Many, many scriptures refer either directly or indirectly to the hope of Jesus second coming, such as Titus 2:13, or, in this off-site link > 2 Peter Chapter 3.

The next article takes a detour from Biblical education into the realms of Biblical speculation. It includes having fun with numbers, so don’t take that bit too seriously. You may want to just skip through it and then continue onto the article following that.
