AND HOW IT RELATES TO THE COMING OF THE DAY OF THE LORD

Several years before secret weather warfare (or perhaps global warming – choose your own explanation) gave us daily weather disasters, I prayed about a light shower of rain, and called it a flood. This was the result…

Why It Was a Miracle

This was the front page newspaper headline that confronted me the morning after a flood hit the Gold Coast, way back in mid-2005.

The heavy downpour was not forecast by the weather bureau and was entirely unexpected.

The flood of rain continued unabated for exactly one day, from about 3 pm to about 3 pm.

It occurred immediately after I studied online information, and then prayed about the Bible timeline that precedes Jesus Christ’s return.

Some of my study material included information about “1000-YEAR DAYS.”

Moments before the downpour started, I noticed a few light drops of rain. I then told God in prayer that this light sprinkle of rain represented a flood, in that I felt God was giving me a “flood of truth” in my study of Bible chronology and timing.

I said ‘Amen’ to my prayer.

The very instant after saying Amen, some awareness made me look to the ceiling, when suddenly, unexpectedly, an extremely heavy and continuous 24 hour downpour of rain THUNDERED loudly onto the noisy decramastic roof above, shocking me into an awareness that this was no ordinary event!

The chances of having an UNFORECAST, exact one day, ‘1 in 1000 year’ flood happen randomly, the EXACT SECOND after saying Amen from studying and praying about ‘1 in 1000 year’ days, after declaring the LIGHT shower of rain to BE a FLOOD, and then reading the ‘1 in 1000 year’ newspaper headline the next day, are IMPOSSIBLE.

Can you see why this newspaper headline seemed special to me?

Proclaiming this flood, when there was ZERO indication of any flood happening, being entirely unpredicted by the weather bureau, was the most astonishing miracle of my life. Then, with the newspaper headline also saying specifically that it was 1 in 1000 years, the day after, made it a double miracle for me.

Although I cannot prove this full sequence of events to anyone, I have no intention of denying it either.

I have no doubt this was a miracle, but I’ve omitted other specific coincidences of my flood testimony. They make the incident even more incredible, which would only promote skepticism, and serve no purpose here. However for the sake of continuity I want to keep the most important details on this page, which cover how near Jesus return really is.

Matt 24:37,38… But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood

Matt 24:39… and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Understanding 1000-year ‘Days’

This is speculation about 1,000 Year Days in the Bible. It’s also unprovable. However, you may find it interesting.

Several places in the Bible talk about 1000 year days. For example Psa 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8 “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

Remember, in Gen 2:17, God told Adam that IN THE DAY he ate from the forbidden tree he would die. But, Adam lived for 930 years! Did you ever wonder why Adam didn’t die the same day he ate from the tree? The answer is that God’s days can be a thousand years long.

The Bible indicates that God has allotted mankind SIX one thousand year “days” before a one thousand year Sabbath rest ‘day,’ or millennium to follow (Rev 20:2 or 20:7), starting from the time of Adam and Eve’s sin, up to the time Jesus will return. This follows the principle God gave in Exo 20:11.

Six thousand years in the Bible timeline calculates to a Second Coming date that is fairly soon.

(The Sabbath principle is not nullified by the New Covenant, because the Sabbath was created well before even the Old Exo 24:7 Covenant was made, and therefore it is separate, as part of creation, and stands apart from any covenants that were made.)

Jesus was crucified around TWO “one thousand year days” ago. The exact date is controversial. Calculations range within an 8 year window, between 27 AD to 35 AD.

(I’m well aware of the crucifixion date controversies, and also claims that hundreds of years have been added to or subtracted from our history timeline, but independent Chinese calendar records and also world events don’t back that up. At this stage I still believe it’s been about 2,000 years.)

Additional Confirmation

Before going deeper, let’s compare these two parables of Jesus.

First Matthew 20:1,2 The parable of the labourers in the vineyard:

For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Second, the parable of the good Samaritan:

Luke 10:30-35

And on the morrow when he departed, he (the good Samaritan who represents Jesus) took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Combining both parables, with 2 Peter 3:8 (one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day), we have

  • one day = 1,000 years
  • one penny = one day
  • the good Samaritan gave two pennies, because he expects to RETURN about TWO days after he left.

Hence, Jesus returns after 2 one thousand year long days, or close to 2,000 Years after he left… I do understand these are merely parables, however…This is not presented as any sort of proof – It’s an interesting observation!

Dating the crucifixion has been a long study for me. For many years I thought the crucifixion date was in 31AD. More recently, I favour 28AD for reasons mostly covered in this offsite link: https://2028end.com/confirmations/phd-dates-christs-crucifixion-to-ad-28/ Please note. I don’t necessarily agree with every doctrine or theological concept held by people I post links to. I post links to make specific points only.

Another difficulty in wading through the research has been counting Jubilees.

Christ’s return has to blend with the Jubilee, as that is called the Year of Release, when slaves are set free. Again, I’ve altered my original view from thinking they were every 50 years to now understanding that a correct count follows every 49th. consecutive year.

Watch around the 1 hour and 15 minute mark on the following video from Nick VanderLaan to understand how to correctly COUNT Jubilees. I’m posting the video to show Jubilee information only, NOT to endorse the other conclusions he’s jumping to: https://youtu.be/rkQu7g_o6pE?si=S5xZIQuh0Lstehg7

Additional Thoughts

Matthew 24:32 says

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree;  When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that  it is near,  even at the doors.  Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS, TILL ALL THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED.”

Mark 13:28 says similar. While Luke 21:24 says: And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Reading down to Luke 21:26-27, you can see that this prophecy including Jesus return, was NOT fulfilled in 70 AD.

It’s for now.

This is an end time prophecy with a specific time limit attached to it, and it includes Israel being re-established as a nation in recent times, and specifically, Jerusalem being regained from the Gentiles.

Could this be saying that, from the date that the nation of Israel has regained control of Jerusalem (which happened in 1967), that Jesus will return within one generation from that year?

It helps to understand that the people of Israel are called figs in the Bible, Eg. Jeremiah 24:5 –or read the whole chapter in which the good figs are returned to Israel and the bad are destroyed. Also Hosea 9:10.

Matthew 24 and Luke 21 both summarize the main events that will happen up until the time Jesus returns.

But also in Luke 21:32 Jesus /Yeshua says that one full generation will not pass away from the specific time or date that Jerusalem ceases to be trodden down by the gentiles (referring back to Luke 21:24). UNTIL THE END OF THE AGE! See also Matt 24:34 and Matt 24:3.

So… Can we know what is the length of this “generation” that Jesus spoke about? And can we know exactly what he meant by the fig tree “putting forth leaves”?

Maybe…

Definitions of generation lengths do vary in the Bible.

However Psalms 90:10 strongly indicates a generation count is 70 years.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (KJV)

Another version says:

[As for] the days of our years, in them are seventy years; and if [men should be] in strength, eighty years; and the greater part of them would be labor and trouble; for weakness overtakes us, and we shall be chastened. (Septuagint)

Counting forward 70 years

The Jews regained Jerusalem in a six day war in 1967. It definitely fulfilled Jesus prophecy of “when the fig tree putteth forth leaves.” It may also have fulfilled the coming to the end of “the times of the Gentiles” that Jesus spoke of. (I realise that’s debatable, because Rev 11:2 references the Gentiles [or nations] treading down the holy city for 42 months. However, the ‘Gentiles’ here may be symbolic for non-Christians, and the holy city may mean God’s people – as I said, it’s debatable.)

So let’s count forward one generation. Counting forward from 1967, using a 70 year Biblical generation could take us as far into the future as 2037. Do you see this age lasting that long? I don’t!

However, some Bible prophecy students start this prophecy count from 1948That was the year modern Israel was established. From the 15th May 1948 and the Israeli Declaration of Independence to 5th June 1967, and the start of the six day war when Israel captured East Jerusalem, was one Metonic moon cycle of 19 years! I don’t know how precise it needs to be in order to be significant, but the precision is within one month (moon phase) of exactly 19 years. Add another 3 cycles, and we get to mid-2024. Again that’s interesting, as it’s also 3 1/2 years before 2027 ends.

Blending Moon Cycles with Generation Lengths

Four 19-year moon cycles from 1948 give a time span of 76 years for modern Israel to complete its history. A year after, makes a total of 77 years. Seven is known to be God’s number for completion, so that year would be 2025.

June 2024, add 3 1/2 year tribulation period = a finish at the start of 2028.
Or starting 2025 + 3 1/2 year tribulation period = to the middle of 2028.

Now consider this.

If you take a generation length of 70 years from 1948, we’re already out of time. But if you count 80 years, as the Psalm 90:10 generation-length prophecy allows, then the count also continues to 2028, fulfilling Matt 24:32 and Matt 24:34.

IN SUMMARY

So far, on this page I’ve covered
– Thousand-year days,
– Possible generation lengths,
– Israel’s time cycles,

In future I may add more about Jubilee year arithmetic. (Now included here.)

On other pages, I cover what I believe may be
– A prophecy by Jesus about Covid 19,
– Cryptocurrencies that may help enforce the mark of the beast,
– Plus… there are many other current news events verifying end time prophecies.

How heavy is this weight of evidence indicating a Second Coming within ten years, and most probably in 2028?

Currently I concur with much of the information on the 2028end.com website, predicting the return date as 2028. However I acknowledge the extensive research others have done, and am still willing to evaluate evidence to the contrary.

Am I guilty of ‘confirmation bias‘?

You decide, but do not ignore the increasing seriousness of world events.

Accurately discerning the timing for Jesus return should motivate you to make life altering decisions, not only physically but spiritually as well.

Jesus return IS IMMINENT.

How significant the above calculations are, only time will tell. Jesus said in Matt 24:39 that his second coming would be like the timing of the flood in the days of Noah, and like the prophecy against Nineveh, an ‘utter end’ will come like an ‘overrunning flood’ Nahum 1:8.

According to my present understanding, between now and the second coming, ten kings need to be established to rule over the whole earth, as per Revelation 17:12 (ten kings, who have received no kingdom yet). This cross-references to the ten toes of iron and clay at the bottom of the great image in Daniel 2:34-35 just before Christ’s return.

There will also be a fake 2nd coming; when the devil himself impersonates Jesus. (2 Cor 11:14, Rev 19:20 etc.) But if you remember these two things, it will be easy to tell the real Jesus from the fake:

(1) On pain of death, the fake Jesus will enforce SUNDAY keeping (click here) (Rev 13:15-17).

(2) In time order… The fake Jesus comes FIRST.

The following is in reference to the last world ruling kingdom mentioned in Daniel Chapter 2, plus Job 8:13-15.

With rainfall,
Base metals turn to rust.
And evil men are swept away like cobwebs,
Or dust.

As per my short poem, given time, iron (the base metal of Daniel 2:33) can rust. However, when Jesus returns, the wind will sweep the iron and the great image (symbolising the ungodly kingdoms) away, according to Daniel 2:35.

Jesus, of course, is the rock that strikes this statue on its feet, so when this happens there will be no time for rust… Events now, leading to the sudden fulfilment of this prophecy, are coalescing.

When Christ returns, Psalm 126:5, poetically translated, says:

Those who sow in tears,
shall reap with cheers!

In another place, in Psalm 30:5 it says:

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in another place, Romans 13:12

The night is far spent, the day is at hand.

Many, many scriptures refer either directly or indirectly to the hope of Jesus second coming, such as Titus 2:13, and 2 Peter Chapter 3, the last half of which is a good lead in to my Johari window page –
